First-run setup
Finish desktop setup for Local Mode, or skip the local engine on Private Cloud.
First-run setup depends on where documents will be analyzed.
If you chose Local Mode
- Open Finipher and sign in.
- Review the model choices.
- Choose the recommended model for your memory.
- Start the download.
- Keep the app open until setup finishes.
On a Mac, files land under Application Support. On Windows, they land under AppData. See Where your files live.
If you chose Finipher Private Cloud or an organization
Sign in is enough. The desktop app does not download a local model. You can open Upload as soon as the workbench appears.
Beta
A local model download can take time. The app may look busy. That is expected on first launch.
You'll know it worked when
Local Mode: Settings shows the engine as ready. Cloud: the location badge is CLOUD or your organization, and Upload accepts files.
If this doesn't work
Use Fix: setup stuck. If this computer is short on memory, choose a smaller model.
