Start on the path you will use this week

Finipher reads bank, card, loan, tax, and brokerage documents. Choose Local Mode on this computer, Finipher Private Cloud in the browser or on your phone, or an organization URL your workplace gave you. Personal and Small Business stay in separate workspaces.

Start

  • Start here: Pick a path — web, this computer, or phone — and get to your first processed statement.
  • What Finipher is: A private workbench for your statements, with Personal, Small Business, household, and tax packet.
  • Choose how you work: Local Mode, Finipher Private Cloud, organization, web, desktop, and phone — pick the path that matches how you want files read.
  • What you need: Account, files, and device checklist before you process the first statement.

Account

  • Create account: Create the finipher.com account used for billing, the web app, desktop, and phone.
  • Verify email: Verify your Finipher email before checkout, downloads, and the web app.
  • Two-factor authentication: Turn optional authenticator or email 2FA on or off for finipher.com, desktop, and the web app.
  • Start a trial: Start the two-month Finipher trial for Personal, Personal Pro, or Small Business.
  • Manage billing: Change plan, update payment, or cancel from Account.
  • Download Mac or Windows: Download the Finipher installer for macOS or Windows after your trial is active.
  • Sign in on the app: Sign in on desktop, web, or phone with the same email so the license activates.

Where you work

  • The web app: Use Finipher in the browser at finipher.com/app without installing a local model.
  • Local Mode: Keep documents and the Finipher engine on this Mac or Windows PC.
  • Finipher Private Cloud: Read statements on Finipher’s private service from the web, desktop, or phone.
  • Install macOS: Install Finipher on a Mac and open it for sign-in or first-run setup.
  • Install Windows: Install Finipher on Windows 10 or 11 from the signed-in Downloads page.
  • First-run setup: Finish desktop setup for Local Mode, or skip the local engine on Private Cloud.
  • Where your files live: See where Local Mode stores files, and where Private Cloud keeps them.
  • Guest vs account: When Guest is available, and why a signed-in account is required for Cloud and the web app.
  • Settings and license: Check location, engine health, license, companion phone, and Delete data.
  • Delete data: Empty Personal or a Small Business workspace without mixing the two.
  • Backup and uninstall: Back up Local Mode data and remove the desktop app on macOS or Windows.

Personal

  • Choose Personal: Use the Personal workspace for your own household-finance documents.
  • Upload statements: Add PDFs, photos, or CSV files, then process them as one batch.
  • Process documents: Start the batch so Dashboard, Spending, Tax packet, Search, and Ask can use the files.
  • Dashboard: Read the Personal Dashboard for the date range in the toolbar.
  • All findings: Work the full list behind Needs you first from Actions → All findings.
  • Spending: Review categories, vendors, and recurring payments for the selected date range.
  • Action Inbox: One Actions page with Inbox, Recurring, and All findings. Handle, snooze, mark expected, or remind.
  • Recurring (Leaks): Watch recurring charges from Actions → Recurring.
  • Timeline: See which months and document types Finipher has, and spot gaps.
  • Search and Ask: Search your statements and ask source-backed questions.
  • Optional bank link: Link a bank on Personal Pro with Plaid. Upload remains the main path.
  • Tax packet: Collect forms, see what is missing, and download a ZIP for your preparer.
  • Household: Invite one other adult on Personal Pro. Each person keeps their own login.
